My Color is Crimson

My fall semester of sophomore year is coming to an end. Dead week is right now. I just want Finals to get here, so I can get it over with. I’m not really happy with my academic performance right now. Aiming for a 4.0 for the rest of my lower division classes! Blahhh.

On a positive note, I turned in my last chemistry lab report today! I have a love/hate relationship with that course. 

I definitely sucked at keeping this up to date…

I recently finished my first year of college last Thursday. Man. It went by SO fast. I thought senior year and high school flew by, but no. College is even faster. 

I’m not really happy about my academic performance. Well I’m taking summer session at WSU-Vancouver to pick up my slack. Next year, I know what to expect. My goal is a 4.0. Gotta aim high!

That’s there over 27k students attending this college. Even though I know of a bunch of people from the Clark County area, I don’t ever see them. Unless I make an effort to meet up or hang out with people, I only see them around campus on rare occasions. This is going to be of great use next year. :)

I didn’t post about last week. I’ll combine dead and finals week together in the next update.

Monday, I dropped Biology. I was doing GREAT in the labs, but not so hot in the lectures. I guess WSU-Vancouver is very convenient because I can take summer classes there and have it be easily transferred to WSU, which is what I am planning on doing. I can get into the college of pharmacy way earlier than expected!

I got a letter from Sunny Pisano! It totally made my day. I love getting things in the mail.

That night I felt like clearing my conscious. I talked to the people I’ve kept secrets from. It was great to get rid of those burdens. I know what I did may have hurt some, but it’s all in the past and there’s nothing I can do about it except to own up to my actions and apologize. I was being respectful and civil. I wish some of the responses I received were more genuine. I know I am being honest and truthful. Why would I lie about something that would make myself look bad? That would just dumb of me. All of this is ridiculous. At least I can live knowing that I did the right things. My problems are nothing compared to other’s issues. I just can let them go of the bad, leave it in the past, and move on with the good. 

Tuesday, the biggest event ever. Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2011!! I can’t believe it was only for an hour. It was the fastest hour of my life!! I wish I was an VS Angel. Jk. I liked the glitters. I’m so glad I worked out before watching it. It was refreshing. The models don’t make feel self-conscious at all. I don’t understand why some girls watch and frown upon their own image. If it makes you feel that way then don’t watch it. Every one is beautiful in their own way. 

Wednesday, Roxy skyped me and we got to catch up and talk. It’s great to talk to childhood friends. Even when it feels like we haven’t talked for ages, it seems it was just yesterday.

I had two papers to write and a powerpoint presentation to make. I pulled an all-nighter on Wednesday to write my paper. I don’t know why I even went to math the next morning. Nathan and I both fell asleep. I went back to my dorm and just slept. Then I went to my English class to turn in that paper. What a great start to a Thursday.

Thursday was also my birthday. I spent it writing my second paper and doing my powerpoint, staying up real late again. I usually spend my birthday with my family and I miss them. All the birthday wishes honestly made me feel better and my day a little brighter. I got a surprise from Christian and Jessica the day before. All pink stuff and flowers, cheesecake, and snicker-doodle cookies. They’re the best! I skyped my AJF, him and his roommate sang happy birthday to me. It was cute! My birthday wish was to get a RT from Justin Bieber. It didn’t happen, but oh well!! I can’t wait to go home and celebrate with my family.

Friday, I did nothing. I did MATH all day. Literally. Then I was so mad because I almost reached 55 topics, but after the assessment it went down to 33. I only had two hours to build it back up. I ended up with 46 topics for the night. Fail. At least I got to talk to one of my closest friends, Brent Robert Wesockes! We rarely talk, but when we do it feels just right. As if we’ve talked everyday. He always put me in a good mood. I can’t wait to see him over break!

Saturday, I became best friends with a national qualifier wrestler!! I am so proud of Austin! He’s worked hard and definitely deserves it. I also kept tabs on the Heritage wrestlers at their first tournament. They took second. I’m so proud of them too and my girls! I slept most of Saturday. Catching up on ZzZz’s. I skyped with Austin and he told me about his matches then I skyped Katie for four hours. She’s become one of my close friends. We’ve always been there for each other and lately, we both have issues and just have no one else to vent to, but each other. It’s great to have someone I can relate to and be civil and understanding to talk to. 

Today, I went to my favorite ballet. The Nutcracker. It was awesome! We had terrible seats, but that’s okay. I still loved it. It was just what I needed. Marissa and I went to eat dinner after. I napped. Then a hall meeting. 

This week has made me realize how much tougher my skin has gotten. Yeah, I cry. But I believe I’ve handle situations way better than I would have in the past. I don’t want to be one of those people that rant on and rant on about my problems over social media. Yes, I’ve addressed them, but no, I don’t go on about them. There’s a difference. Idk, Tumblr is just about expressing yourself. If someone gets upset at your post then maybe they shouldn’t have been so nosy? Anyways, “after the game, the King and the Pawn goes into the same box.” I learned this from someone who was once my closest friend. I feel like he’s forgotten it, I hope he remembers. 

Lastly, in a day, what’s good is the act of Christ. What’s bad is the act of Satan. I will continue to follow the light of Christ. Satan can kiss my butt. I have the love of God.

This week is Dead Week. Studying hard for my one and only final. I better Ace it!

Hey Everyone! Sorry, I took a week off of posting while I was at home. The 13th week of WSU went by super fast. I only had my two exams on Monday, November 14th for math and biology and I was basically done and ready to go home for the week. Marissa, Christian, and I spontaneously left on Thursday, November 17th. I was so excited to be home. It felt great. The first thing I did was go to YoCream as always. I went with Michelle. Actually, all of break I literally hung out with Michelle Rogers every day. She’s become one of my closest friends.

ALSO! I am back on Twitter and constantly Tweeting. I remember when I had in 09 when it wasn’t as popular and now it’s booming! My favorite person to follow is Justin Bieber. Twitter King!

Friday, November 18th, I went to Heritage to get a graphing calculator and unit circle map to do my online math homework. I finished it before 2 pm that Friday. I can’t believe it. That’s the earliest I’ve finished my online math I believe. Then I went to wrestling practice. Gosh, I was overjoyed to see the two freshmen that will be taking mine and marissa’s spot. Dalaney Tuholski and Joselyn Terry. I know both their sisters and family. They’re perfect for the job. I went through overviews of wrestling with them. They caught on fast. I was back Monday and Tuesday to meet the other two girls and continued to help with the team. Dalaney is EXACTLY mini-me. My freshmen year, I was given stat sheets that were hand drawn and copied. I remade them on Excel, but now the weights changed and Dalaney remade the ones I did to perfection. The team will be in good hands. Six girls will be a lot, so I hope coach will be able to handle things. Brittanie and Felicia have been in the program for a while, so I hope they’ve finally picked it up. Make me proud girls. 

That night I also went and saw Breaking Dawn with my sister, Michelle, Sara, Boni, and Sara’s two friends! It was so good that I cried on many occasions. I loved it! Then I went to Dakota’s and hung out with him for a while. I’ve missed that kid. He’s grown so much.

Saturday, definitely went out clubbing in Portland!! The Escape! I went with Boni and Michelle and we saw a lot of people there like Richelyn, Michaela, Mckenzie, Kylie, Jassmine, etc. There were these two hot guys. Oh my goodness, they were so sculpted. But they were gay. We got them to come down and dance with us. I danced with one of them and gosh, never again. I felt like I was getting raped! We also saw Christian’s brother. We went over there to dance with him and I’m like “Jonathan” and danced crazy. He was like “Oh heyyy, Kelleena” dance with us for like 5 seconds then left. HAHAHAHA It was the funniest thing ever, I guess it was a you had to be there kind of thing.

Earlier, I think I went to the restaurant that night and helped out a little bit. But I was mainly hungry, so I worked for food. But even before that, I went shopping with Teresa, Sam Sam, and Michelle. I didn’t have money to buy anything, but I browsed for what I want for my birthday and Christmas.

Sunday, I was going to go to church, however, my mom made hot pot. Michelle and I literally spend hours just eating. Eating. Eating. Eating. I miss my mama’s cooking. It was sooo good! It was also Durant’s birthday. I miss my older brother. He’s out doing amazing things in Brazil. There wasn’t much to do Sunday. I went over to Kendra’s and got my hair done and feather back in. She’s awesome!!

Monday, I went to the school and helped with the team again. I meant the other two new girls, Brittany and Allie. We went over the wrestling rules again and attempted to watch wrestling videos, but failed. I got to interview the girls and know them better. After, we went back to the wrestling room and just organized stuff. Later that night, I went over to Austin’s house and hung out with his family. I miss my best friend so much. I can’t wait to see him in three weeks!! It was great being with his family, they’re so funny and never fail to make my boring day not so boring anymore. Michelle came over after work. We ate then I think I went and saw Abduction that night. What a corny movie, but I loved it. Taylor Launter!!

Tuesday, I went to the school again and this time the videos of Austin’s matches worked. I had the girls practice taking stats and answer any questions. I made sure they must have confidence in their work. It was an easy practice that day. We messed around while getting ish done. I finally passed down MY wrestling binder to Dalaney. She deserved it. I know it will be in good hands for four years. I don’t remember what I did that night…I know I hung out with Michelle. It was also, my other cousin, Michelle’s 7th birthday. I got the cake for her and we went over to her house. It was just a small little get together. I brought Michelle and Sara with me. However, her mom got mad at me and was blaming me for not getting ish done like ordering and picking up pizza. Okay. My only task was to get the cake and that was done. It wasn’t my responsibility. Plus we got it taken care of so she can calm down. I also skyped Austin. I filled him in about wrestling and how the team is doing. It’s just not the same without us there. Then he sang Happy Birthday to little Michelle with Brenden, his roommate. I miss my best friend.

I know on Wednesday, I brought food to iHop and then we went to the $3 movie theatre at 2pm and didn’t leave until 9pm. We saw three movies at the price of one. I’ve never movie hopped before. It was the most nerve racking thing ever, but at the same time so much fun! We saw the Ape movie then followed these ladies into the Three Musketeers and then went to the bathroom and back to Apes. It was perfect timing, when Apes ended, we went to Crazy, Stupid, Love. All these movies were super good! Oh! Mia came over after. We made brownies and attempted to play DDR! Then we just chatted and watched a movie.

Thursday was Thanksgiving plus another unofficial holiday, Negro Thursday. In the morning, I went over to the Mortensen’s and helped them cook their meals. It was great catching up with them and being in the kitchen with them again. I wish I could of gone to dinner with them! The food smelt and look fabulous! Then I went to my own Thanksgiving deal at my cousins. I didn’t know what time it was happening at, but apparently there was a Facebook event invite that I was on invited to. I’m always the one left out, but I guess it’s whatever now. No one really cares. I went and got Michelle after she got off work. We ate more turkey then got ready for a night of shopping! We thought we would have to stand outside, so we dressed accordingly. But we got there around 7ish and didn’t have to at all. We went out to the car to take off layers and grab our bags around 8. Then went back to the store and filled our carts with things we wanted. We just couldn’t check out until 10. Then last minute we got in line for an Xbox and Kinect. We were pretty close to the front. Just one asile away. We took turns watching the cart and did more shopping. I’m so glad I picked up the two games we wanted because the games tower was literally RAPED! Movies were on sale for $2, $5, $9, and $10. I got 7 and Michelle got 19! Let’s just say it was a successful night. We finished EVERYTHING and got back home before midnight. 

I also saw Dakota that night and we watched 007. I miss him already :)

Friday, the actual Black Friday, I didn’t do any shopping. I ran to Mia’s house to return her brownie pan. Then ran some more. I got to talk to my best friend, Austin that day about that vent I had. I’m glad he’ll always love me. He means the world to me. I didn’t do much on Friday. I went over to my cousin’s. I had to deliver to my aunts the things I bought for them. I got socks in return. Yay! I was there for a while and played with Ashton. He’s such a cutie! Afterwards, I went home and baked cookies. My favorite, Snickerdoodle! Then I went and watched Arthur Christmas with Marissa and Stephen came later. It was such a cute movie! I loved how we went to the 10:30 showing and it was only us and other group of three. I liked the Justin Bieber music video in the beginning. I love JB! I hung out with Stephen after. I’m so glad I was able to hang out with him before break ended! He’s such a fun guy to be around! 

Saturday. Michelle and I hooked up the Xbox and played Dance Central 2 from 2pm to 10pm. 8 hours of dancing, with breaks of course. I can’t wait until Michelle comes to Pullman and we’ll be able to play all the time! I filled up and returned Marissa’s car that night. We came back to my house and watched New Moon and Eclipse. Marissa Barlow came over that night and we chatted. When she left I put in 27 dresses then finally fell asleep to High School Musical 3. I woke up SUPER sore the next morning. I was aching all over. I didn’t go to church because we planned on leaving at 8, so I packed all my stuff away the night before. However, we didn’t leave until 11ish. 

Gosh, I am sore to even right now. Dance Central 2. What a work out. The drive was shorter back as always. There’s no snow, so it was an easy drive. It was only rainy in Portland then everything was clear. We got in Pullman at around 6pm. I unpacked and ate then fell asleep at 7. I woke around 2 and did this blog so I wouldn’t forget.

I felt like I was home for too long because drama started arising. I’m glad to be leaving that behind and be back at school. But I’m not looking forward to Biology because I’m not doing well in that class. I need to pick up my slack. I don’t know. It’s bittersweet. I can’t wait to be home because my two bestest friends will be home too!!!! Austin James Frazier and Marissa Anne Hatch! I’ll only see Austin for less than a week and Marissa for two, but it will be time that I’ll cherish every moment of. We’ll probably go to a lot of wrestling events. AHHH! I just can’t wait. I’m too excited. 

My birthday is coming up and dead week.

This week was quite another productive one. 

I am thinking about informal recruitment with a sorority house. The one Marissa is in, Gamma Phi Beta. I went to two events and they were so great! Tuesday, we made these cute little turkeys and chilled and talked. Thursday, we had hot coco (except mine was just warm) and decorated cookies. I really like their sorority. It’s not too big and the girls are so nice!

I was also being productive in my school work. I got everything done for this following week. I am so ready to go home. I wrote my collaborative paper with my group for Gen Ed and we’re done, except for the conclusion. I have two exams tomorrow, Biology and Math. Then Bio Lab on Wednesday. I just need to get through this until Friday!

This week was short and we had a long weekend. It was Dad’s weekend, but none of mine and my friends’ dads came, so on Friday we had a GIRLS NIGHT!! It was so much fun. It was a good thing we all got done getting ready an hour earlier than planned because it took us forever to find a restaurant that wasn’t too packed or had more than an hour wait. We ended up at Shari’s. It was worth going out to have real food. We just went back to our dorms and chilled the rest of the night.

Saturday, it was Game Day! We played ASU at 7:30pm. Marissa, Jessica, and I thought we would be smart to go an hour early to get good seats. We walked and stood in the snow. It was so freezing!! We didn’t even stayed for the kick-off before we left. But it was a COUG WIN! We went to Kendrick’s dorm and had our little dance party. Then went back to our dorms. Marissa and I could not fall asleep, so we stayed up til 6am doing…nothing. 

Today, I didn’t go to church because I wasn’t feeling well. The snow from Saturday melted. I went to lunch with Marissa. I was such a hot mess this morning. I left the dorm, halfway realized I forgot my cougar card. I went back to get it, had to wait to get in. Then I got it and forgot my glasses. I grabbed my ear muffs instead. As I was walking to Southside to meet Marissa, I don’t know why but I started to go a different way and had to loop around. I finally made it to the dining hall. Came back to the dorm then dropped Marissa off at the House. I spent today doing math and biology. Mainly math. I skyped my family for about two hours. My sister is so silly. She texted me and asked if I wanted to watch her an papa eat dinner? I said sure…she literally set me down at the table. It was fun to talk to my family. I missed them. It was almost like I was really there. Then I skyped Katie Osborn for about two hours also! She’s such an awesome girl. We have so much in common. It was great to have some girl talk. I definitely didn’t study for my biology exam tomorrow…shoot. I might have to withdraw it. I don’t want to fail.

This week needs to go by fast! I can’t wait to go home. I can’t wait to see my family, YoTeam, and my friends; Sara, Boni, Teresa, Michelle, Dylan, and-especially Dakota!! Yay!!

I was really proactive this week! 

The 31st was Halloween. I went out with some buddies from church to the corn maze. I swear, I got scared more by my own group than the scarers in the maze. I am such a baby when it comes to scary stuff. 

Tuesday, I pulled an all-nighter doing math homework. Then during bio lab on Wednesday, I was the test dummy. I don’t know why, but I’m ALWAYS the test dummy. We were testing heart rate and I was the only one that wasn’t caffeinated (yet). I was so hyper all day. I was only going off the day with 3 hours of sleep then I got all this energy from lab. I eventually fell asleep. Friday, we had the Gen Ed exam. I totally KILLED it. Well I hope so at least. I felt like I did great. That night I went out with Marissa. It was the first time we went out together after being at WSU for three months. I got to meet her sorority mom and g-mom. They were awesome. Marissa accomplished something that no one else has…let’s just say it was a good night.

Saturday, we had the lacrosse tournament. WSU lost to Gonzaga. It was a great learning experience. I know we’ll get them back during the actual season. Michelle, Boni, and Chris got into Pullman later that night. We went out on Greek Row, but there was nothing. It was dry this weekend.

Today, we all did homework and just chilled. I showed Boni and Michelle around WSU. I also trimmed my bangs and Marissa pierced my ears. It was a pretty chill day.

This week is going to be a short one. No school on Friday! I have so much homework. I’m doing pretty well keeping up. Two exams next Monday. I’ve already started my studying. Two more weeks until I get to go home.

Honestly, this week was a lazy week.

On Tuesday, I graduated from physical therapy!! That means I can go back to playing lacrosse! I am super excited. I just have keep doing my exercises and I’ll be golden.

I am STILL sick. I missed a few classes because I didn’t feel well. I think I am lacking sleep. I pulled my first all-nighter to write a paper. I got it done right on the dot. Wednesday and Thursday I was crazy on doing my work. I think I need to stop procrastinating. 

This weekend was “Halloweekend.” Everyone dresses up and goes out for like three days. I went out with my friends from institute. On Friday, I went to a Stake dance in Moscow. It was interesting, my first singles dance. I had fun. I went as a referee. Saturday, we were suppose to go to the corn maze, but we didn’t leave til late and got lost. By the time we got there, they closed :( we are going back on Monday! 

I pulled an all-nighter again! Skyped Stephen Chung until the morning. Then I went to church. I was the kid that kept dozing off…man I was so tired. I am doing well in church. Getting back on track. When I got back to my dorm, I slept from three to six then I woke up and dozed off until ten. I’ve been up since then. 

This week is going to be able studying. I have an exam on Friday and lacrosse tournament this weekend. Also, Michelle is coming!!!! I can’t wait to see her.
